Now Zidane was used to giant spider like creatures that had to be coaxed into giving you a ride, and he was used to water based travel and even some pretty nifty Steam based Airships. But the hulking brutes of metal, all but destroyed in the clashing of worlds, kinda amazed him, he wasn't close to an engineer but he was sure this new place he was exploring has some heavy duty machinery that far surpassed anything back home.
The tracks he walked along were rusting, but in decent shape, whatever ran along them must be quite big he figured. He was a little curious about it all, but at the same time he was more concerned with what he should do next, having heard messages from this new crystal capital demanding that all inhabitants of the worlds register with them, it rubbed him the wrong way, he never needed to register his existence with anyone before and he shan't think otherwise now. Stopping at a bridge looking over a town square like place, with scars in the cement and black char marks that looked like a 'Bomb' had wandered in to randomly explode. He dropped off a bit to sit down with his legs dangling over the edge.

A few days passed in this busy place known as the Fishermen’s Horizon. It was surprising how quickly this town had patched it self up in the rustle of the worlds. In face quite a bit different from Zanarkand’s remains upon where Lightning had found herself in this newly put back together world. It was rather difficult to piece things together since a particular woman had no recollection of her past beforehand. So, as of right now, she had no clue to what she should be doing. It felt as if there was no purpose for being alive, or so Lightning thought.
Crowds of people pushed past a tall strawberry blonde woman. Her figure isn’t quite as feminine as you would think, but you could see a striking glamour in her features. The woman took long, slow strides as others hurried past or bumped into her stoic movements. Her eyes glanced every so often at faces that neared and disappeared. It was hard to figure out what to do in this town. Everyone seemed to be busy with something to do like as in catching fish, tending to the families needs, taking a stroll, etc. Lightning felt as if she was the only one out of place here. There was nothing for her to do, and every vein in her body was aching to do something.
A bridge lies ahead with a few people passing across it. Bright blue hues gazed at the lack of a crowd in that direction. Perhaps it would be a good place to think and be rid of the loud rustling of people. The girl stopped noticing a shorter, blonde haired young man with a tail seating his self on the bridge’s railing. The look from a distance gave her indication that he might be as lost as she was. Could there be really others who had no clue on what to do? Was there another who might be as lost as she was and wanted answers? All she knew is that she needed some answers. What was with this Crystal Capital crap?
Lightning stood as an elbow nudged her from below. A young child had passed by looking in a different direction and didn’t notice the standing woman in his walking path. The child looked up at her still, battle worn face. Her bright blue eyes looked down reflecting his face in her eye balls. The young child sprung like a deer from a pack of wolves. He was frightened by her look and disappeared in the crowd by his mother for comfort. Lightning’s lips parted following the running child to his mother. It was rather interesting how children reacted to scenes that took hold of them.
It wasn’t too long until the objective to make it to the bridge before the blonde boy made his chance to move. Her stride was quicker and more agile than her laid back out for a stroll walk. The girl was determined to find something out from this boy and perhaps her first impressions were right. The woman was stubborn to things she believed true and she down right knowing that this blonde hair boy may have something of value to gain.
A pair of knee height, leather boots sounded the air behind the boy to a sudden stop. Her breath was normal, her stance more than ready for any sort of attack, and her palm over her gun blade ready to back up the stance. Lightning stood in the sun which shined off her strawberry blonde hair. Her outfit worn as she had always done; a leather skirt with belt to hold up, a sleeveless trench coat like jacket with various pockets, straps, etc, a black zip-up turtle neck underneath, dark blue gloves, clay colored leg bag, gravity device on right hand, maroon cape, and brown, leather knee height boots. The girl was something different to look at. Her features had shown the wear of battle as did her face.
An eyebrow rose slightly looking at the back of the tailed boy who sat with his feet dangling over the edge ever so carelessly. Her eyes closed as her nose took in a deep breath and reopened to speak in a mono-toned sound, “You know, being so openly to dangle on a bridge isn’t the best idea for someone who looks as if they are pondering over things that shouldn’t.” Her eyes stared at the boy with viciousness that dared the boy to attack. She wasn’t trying to exactly pick a fight, but she was born with a sense to defy others. Fighting for things was aching in her veins and was showing in this moment of time. Would he have answers? Could he possibly help her find everything that was missing in her brain about her past? Maybe he could give her a purpose again to live. Something inside of her said that he could help in some way at the very least.

Zidane's tail, normally just swaying carelessly back and fourth, would stop as she spoke her almost harsh words. He didn't know weather or not she was picking fight but he had no intention of being attacked. Waiting a moment he decided that it would be best to handle the situation rather than ignore it pretending to be completely lost in thought.
Swinging his legs up and around he would turn to look at the woman who addressed him. He wasn't fully surprised to see her unfriendly eyes, nearly everyone held similar gazes lately since the Crystal Capital forced its 'power' on them. Though he wasn't all too sure what he had done to deserve the gaze or intonation of voice from her. But he could forgive, it was almost impossible for this particular thief to stay mad at a woman who was attractive, reguardless of where his heart lay.
Green eyes look over her, appraising, stopping here and there to analyze gear and features. Most of the gear was unfamiliar, the weapon was obviously a sword of some type, but to him the handle looked... rather... odd. After he had his moment to take in her style and look he stood up, and looked up into her eyes. His own reflected experience, and a past deep in conflict and hardships. Unlike her, his clothing was more contemporary, and well, outdated. His emerald vest, and cuffed leather gloves. His pants slightly baggy for flexibility, belted up with several daggers in places easily reached. His boots were high onto his caffs and and were steeled over the toes and heel.
His time to take her in was however short, and his response came out in a curious manner as he crossed his arms, hands hanging carelessly, though in perfect position to easily take a dagger into each.
"Hmm? You know, you should approach new people with a more friendly disposition." He smiled. "Or you will never make any friends."
Ooh boy, there went his mouth. Now he hadn't meant to be insulting but it just sort of came out, his brain thought it and his mouth spit it out. Bad habit really, got him into trouble at times, his open willingness to just say what he thought. Ooh well. He survived up till now doing these such things so it was safe to assume he'd make it out alive here too. Even so, he still smiled his friendly smile. His tail bigginging to sway once more. Curling back a bit near its end. If one was to look at the tail, they would noticed it looked quite soft and furry. He kept good care of it.

Lightning stood before the furry-tailed boy wondering what he was thinking. His eyes scanned her figure quite thoughtfully. He seemed to be noting the things she wore and especially the weapon she bore. As Zidane looked her up and down, Lightning took her few seconds to collect his own style. It was quite simple compared to her unique style of attire and to most she has seen here in the Fishermen Horizon. It looked rather breezy and suitable to maneuver in easily. Although it was the matter of personal preference she considered quite frankly. Even if here outfit was a little more complex than this blonde haired boy before her, she could still manage to engage in a fierce battle with another.
Sense told her that he was ready at any moment to strike at her or counter-attack if she did. Lightning had no intentions to attack and further more hoped that this young man before her did not want to either. All she wanted was simple answers to a million questions that seemed to arise over the month she was tossed in this randomly put together world. Everything didn’t seem right, but she had no idea how much of it was really not right. Like many around her, she was oblivious to the plans to use the people of this new world. Evil was lingering over every place that was brought here. That part she could feel wherever she went. It was the matter of putting the pieces together.
"Hmm? You know, you should approach new people with a friendlier disposition." the blonde smiled, "Or you will never make any friends." If the boy was trying to gain any affection from the strawberry-blonde woman he wasn’t starting off on the right foot. No, he was tripping and falling to his death off a cliff. Lightning wasn’t your average gal who would probably talk to you nicely at first. She was more of the girl you had to gain a trust with. Trust is a very hard thing to gain with Lightning and she would be more than willing to do everything on her own.
A light breeze from the sea blew over to cool her warming body from the sun. The feeling was exuberating. The notice of thirst was brought up at this time. It had been some time since the early morning when she had last put nourishment into her body. Lightning looked up letting up her readying stance to shield her eyes from the sun. This gesture was to show that she was no harm to the boy, but if he dared to do anything she would for surely strike back.
As her eyes drifted into the white speckled blue sky, Lightning’s thoughts drifted to the appearance of the boy. Where had he come from? Of course somewhere were he had some sort of fighting that was involved. She could see it etched in his face. Also, that tail was rather peculiar. Her mind drifted to the thought of possibly having her own, but soon bashed it down as a seagull flew by to distract her. Blue orbs drifted to where he had been seated previously before replying to Zidane, “Perhaps, I haven’t come to make friends. You know not everyone you meet wants to be exactly friends. Especially if there are things going on that might need to be kept low. Also, you should always take precautions to the ones you want to meet. They may be your enemy.”
The smile on Zidane’s face was starting to eat at her a little. She always felt unnatural around those who seemed to be very carefree and easy going. Comfortable was not exactly what she was feeling upon seeing his smile which caused her to move to the spot he dangled his feet off of. She rested her hands on the bridges railing and looked off into the distance of the port. “Do you find that befriending me will be of any importance?,” she questioned Zidane out of the blue before continuing on, “If so, I’m known as Lightning. You might think that my presence is like a strike from a lightning bolt.” This was an attempt to make the conversation a bit lighter than before. She really wanted to gain information and trying to break the earlier tensions between the two would probably get her the things she needs to know to move on her way.

"You think to much, or I guess you think in circles, befriending ANYONE, is advantageous and has the potential to gain me many things, but not just that, if you have a true friend you know you have someone you can rely on when your down or in trouble."
He shook his head a bit, this woman made no sense, her actions were so far odd from what he was used to people acting, but that wasn't the major problem he figured. she was obviously from a different world than him, and the technology she carried was proof enough of that. Leaning back a bit against the railing he looked over to her.
"My name is Zidane Tribal."
He hoped up slightly to stand on the railing instead. looking down at her he raised an eyebrow, he was young but he knew when someone had ulterior motifs. He studied her waiting for her to continue to speak. It was only a matter of time before she would spill the beans on what she had to say. At least that how he saw it. You don't just up and confront someone with nothing to say. that leads to akward silences and thats no good for anyone.

Brilliant blue orbs danced with the ripples in the water below. It was always calming to watch nature proceed on even when things around it were in a mess. Especially one like herself, who had no idea of what purpose it, was to be here. Where had she come from? He had mentioned his name, Zidane Tribal. It was definitely not something she had not heard of before nor could remember. Lightning had no idea what to think about this boy. He seemed very trusting to her for someone he didn’t know of at all.
Lightning looked up at Zidane who was teetering on the bridges railing beside her. Very carefree he is indeed. Her eyes shut as she shook her head wondering if it was a good idea to approach Zidane. He didn't seem like he had any sort of alert for danger and having someone who didn't seem like they did not have a constant state of readiness was not going to be valuable to her. However, she may have been just judging way too much on first impressions.
Eyes set onto the water below again trying to figure out this guy while still keeping on her reason for interrupting his solitude. "I see we may have different opinions," she spoke feeling that trusting someone so quickly was disagreeable to her, "So, this Fishermen's Horizon is a good place? I've heard it is like the first place I visited. It was placed here from another world? Are you a resident of this place?"
Now the questions start. Lightning thought it better to spit things out before he grew bored of her presence. Plus if someone else was like her, not knowing exactly where she came from, would be very comforting. Little to her knowledge she would be disappointed that Zidane was from one of the worlds that was patched into this new one.

"We probably have extremely different opinions on many things..."
He would listen to her questions watching her, his composure relaxed looking and carefree like. Dropping down to sit as he was when she first arrived to speak to him.
"Dunno, Probably, First time here."
He answered her questions sequentially, First responding to her question about how FH was, next about if it came from one of the different worlds, and finally about his own affiliation with FH.
"I'm from one of the other worlds, Spent most of my life traveling, but I guess Lindblum is somewhat my hometown..."
He knew Linblum was in horrid shape, he hadn't dared go back to his little Tantalus hide away there since the worlds collided, seeing the great castle city in ruins was pretty hard on the little guy. Even though he now knew he wasn't even from the same planet. It was still his home and nothing could change that thought in his mind.

OOC: Ack, sorry for taking so long. I was gone all weekend and I was busy all week.
IC: Lightning was not the slightest happy with the answer she got to her first question. The blonde had no affiliation of the place that they both were occupying. Heh, at least they had one thing common so far. The part from ‘I’m from one of the other worlds’ wasn’t a shocker. In her disbelief, she knew that most people were from different worlds. There was one person that she knew of who had no idea where they had come from. That person was herself. No recollection of how she got here or why was here to live. Her only purpose as of now was to figure out who she really was and why she was brought here. That is if she was ever brought here from a different world.
“Well, at least we can both agree on something. We both don’t come from this Fishermen’s Horizon,” she replied half laughing. Zidane was really seeing a rare site from Lightning. She wasn’t one much for joking around, let alone being so vulnerable to attack. Perhaps the boy had gotten on her good side for now.
“I have come from the city they call Zanarkand. I have no idea if I’m truly originally from those ruins, but I’ve come to learn a bit about the city. They are truly fascinating especially with that game they play of which is called Blitzball. Have you ever heard of that?” the girl interjected. She really had no idea where to question the boy next. Maybe getting a little chat on with Zidane will help her find some answers. As for now, she needed to relax. The night did not bring her sleep and she was becoming restless in the morning sun
