Aerith walked up to the ruins, her hair blowing in the wind. She touched her thin hand to a large piece of the rubble. She hated what was happening. Everything was getting destroyed. Peoples homes, families, some have even been killed most likely. She hoped more than anything that she wouldn't be taken to the Capital. She didn't want to be around those......monsters.
She slowly made her way across the rubble, running her hand across the large stones. She sat down on a chunk of it and rested her face in her hands as her elbows rested on her knees. "What is going to happen next," she sighed.

Places like this weren't uncommon for Sephiroth to see in the past. Ruins, death, destruction, the whole nine yards. What he didn't expect, however, was the lone woman sitting amongst the rubble. Her face was turned away, held down in her hands, so he couldn't identify her in any way. However, there was a pink bow in her hair, which was somewhat familiar to Sephiroth. He decided not to disturb her, instead continuing his scan-through of the destroyed Lindblum.

Aerith heard someone around her and she felt his gaze on her for a moment and then he went back to his business. She slowly looked up and and side glanced over at him. Her eyes widened when she saw who it was. Sephiroth. Clouds enemy. She slowly stood up and faced him.
"It's you. What are you doing here?"
She looked at him with a hateful glare. She knew him well and she knew he wasn't to be trusted. He was very dangerous also.

As Sephiroth continued his examination of the ruins, he heard the woman standing up and addressing him, as if they had met under negative terms. He calmly turned around, tossing a glance her way.
"You act as if we know eachother, yet I can't recall seeing you in my life... Perhaps you are lost amongst my fragments as well."

Aerith placed her hands on her hips and glared at him. What was he doing? He knows her? He should deffinitely know her.
"You know me. My name is Aerith and I'm good friends with your enemy, Cloud. You killed me. That day in the church. We were trying to foil your theivery of the Black Materia and I ventured off alone to the forgotten city. I was praying at an altar and when Cloud came in I smiled up at him and right then you killed me."
She stared down at her feet and let her arms drop to her side. She hated him for what had happened that day. A couple tears rolled down her cheeks and hit the grass. Because of him she hasn't seen cloud in a while. She missed him so much.

As Aerith told him these things, Sephiroth found his vision replaced by the scene told to him. On a pillar in the Forgotten City, he could see the woman from a bird's-eye view. His view zoomed in at an alarming rate, and he could see the blonde-haired Cloud standing some distance before Aerith. The Masamune entered Sephiroth's vision, poised to strike, when the image faded out and back into reality. He caught himself staring at Aerith again, whose head was inclined down again, tears falling. There wasn't much to be said by the ex-SOLDIER, except...
"... I'm not sure how to apologize for something like that... Still, know that I, in my current state, would never think to harm you, or Cloud for such a matter... After all, as far as I can see, I've no reason to."

Aerith looked back up at him, tears still falling. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He was.....apologizing. She let her glare go down, but her face stayed sad. She looked him straight in the eyes and saw that he was sincere. He meant it.
"I....I accept your apology. I might've hated you for it and because of you I haven't seen Cloud in a long time, but I can forgive easily and I know you mean it so I forgive you. I know most people can't forgive something like this, but maybe we can just start over."
She couldn't believe what she was doing either, but she just didn't want any hate to build up inside. She knew it was better to forgive and forget than to keep that hate and let it tear you apart.
